Antique Price Guides: "The 'X' That Marks The Spot!"

There are an abundance of antique price guides out there on the internet, so I'm going to give it to you straight. The BEST, most conclusive way of determining the value of your antiques and collectibles is by taking your particular item to a licensed, professional antique appraiser. There are are no antique price guides out there that can determine the absolute value of an item based on a specific set of vague, undefined preset descriptions of condition such as "Mint," "Fair," and so on and so forth. Much of an antique's worth is based solely on the opinion of an appraiser, therefore antique price guides are, at best, a rough idea in determining the overall value of antiques.

Here at Antique Price Guides, we only wish to steer you in the appropriate direction, keeping our fingers crossed that we can be of some assistance to you in your quest for fortune. In a lot of ways, the buying and selling of antiques is a modern form of treasure hunting, where what may have been a neglected, overlooked and taken-for-granted piece of junk in the back of the attic, could easily become a hidden loot of wealth that we've always dreamt of unearthing.

But with that being said, antique price guides may not be able to tell you exactly how much your hidden treasure is worth- but maybe... just maybe... it can help you decipher that metaphorical "X" that marks the spot.
